Washington Health Alliance
Susanne Dade, MPA, has worked in health care in Washington state since 1980. Ms. Dade has been with the Washington Health Alliance since 2006. The Alliance is a purchaser-led multi-stakeholder collaborative dedicated to transforming Washington state’s health care system. The Alliance believes strongly in transparency and offers trusted and credible reporting on various aspects of health care value. Ms. Dade is the author of the Alliance’s recently released report, “First, Do No Harm,” a report that examines overuse of health care services in her state. While at the Alliance, Ms. Dade has worked on a number of important initiatives including the state’s first Health Innovation Plan, development of the Washington State Common Measure Set on Healthcare Quality, the RWJF Aligning Forces for Quality initiative, and formation of Washington State’s Choosing Wisely initiative. Prior to joining the Alliance, Ms. Dade held several community health planning and delivery system leadership positions, including 16 years with Group Health Cooperative (now Kaiser Permanente).
